Musical Director
Jonah was appointed Assistant Musical Director in 2023, and ascended to Musical Director in 2024. Currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto, he first joined Skule Orchestra in 2022 as principal trombone and continues to enjoy playing in small ensembles during the Orchestra's Chamber Night.
From the age of 5, Jonah has been enthralled by music and the piano; achieving his RCM grade 10 in piano performance and learning the trombone, euphonium, trumpet, French horn, clarinet, and violin along the way. He has been a member of multiple bands and orchestras in the Greater Toronto Area, including the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra, Kindred Spirits Orchestra, Richmond Hill Concert Band, and the York Region Brass Band.
Jonah is thrilled to be able to take on the role of Musical Director. He hopes to draw on his wealth of experience and love of music to bring out the best in each player in the orchestra.
