Skule Orchestra Auditions

Thanks for your interest in the orchestra! We're very excited about the upcoming year, and we hope you can join us.

Open Rehearsal

Join us for our open rehearsal on Monday, September 11th, 2023 at 7PM!

Membership Commitments

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the orchestra will rehearse on Monday evenings from 6:45 to 9:30 PM. Rehearsals will take place in the 5th floor atrium of the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 55 St. George St. We also have sectionals for each instrument group typically scheduled on Saturday once per month.

Audition Requirements

All new and returning members must audition each year to be considered for a place in the orchestra. This ensures that all applicants have an opportunity to join each year. We use auditions to select performing members of the orchestra, as well as to seat members within the orchestra. If you have any questions or are not available for any of the available audition times, email us directly (orchestra@skule.ca) or use the contact form. We're looking forward to hearing you play!

Auditions will take place the week of September 12th-16th between 6:10 PM-10 PM. Please arrive at the 5th Floor Atrium in the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 15 minutes before your audition. Audtions and musician warm-up/set-up will take place in rooms MY537 and MY539.
